Sony Announced 'Xperia Z1 Compact' at CES 2014

Top smartphone manufacturers use to create a downsized version of their flagship smartphone like HTC made HTC One Mini and Samsung created Galaxy S4 Mini. Now Sony has also included itself into this category by launching “Xperia Z1 Compact” at CES 2014, it’s a mini version of one of the Sony’s best smartphones Sony Xperia Z1. As per company statement Xperia Z1 compact will takes place between Sony Xperia Z1 and its successor Sony Xperia Z.

This compact version of Xperia Z1 has a 4.3 Inch display with 341ppi density. It has a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor (same in Xperia Z1) with 2GB of RAM. It will run on Android 4.3 Jellybean and planned to get Android 4.4 KitKat upgrade very soon.

Xperia Z1 Compact features a very good 20.7 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. It packs a 2300mAh battery which is almost equal to Sony Xperia SP’s 2370mAh battery. The Z1 compact will be available in Black, white, pink, yellow and lime colors.

Sony hasn’t yet announced the price of Xperia Z1 Compact, however this phone will be released in February 2014.
